Description
Instituto San Roberto is a private school founded on March 8th, 1982 by Monica and Cristina Sada. It is governed by a plural and multidisciplinary board of administration that meets on a regular basis. The school offers a bilingual education that provides the students with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish, which gives them a competitive advantage in college and in the future job market.
ISR is also recognized for having a high academic level, a strong values program and a well- defined communication structure. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and belongs to the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the American Schools Association in Mexico (ASOMEX).
The curriculum is English based, however, Spanish is taught on a daily basis in Elementary and Middle School. Students are assessed through the use of standardized testing in both English and Spanish (REALE, ITBS, INTELMETRIX, TOEFL, and SAT) to ensure high academic standards. The school believes in the importance of giving equal educational opportunities to people from all over the world. However, the highest population remains Mexican.
Instituto San Roberto's enrollment is of approximately 2500 students from Pre- Nursery through 9th grade, in both Valle Alto and San Agustin campuses. At present, there are around 1500 students representing 13 nationalities in the San Agustin Campus, and 1000 students representing 4 nationalities in the Valle Alto Campus.
